Do you ever suspect that everyone else has life figured out and you don’t have a clue? If so, Rachel Hollis has something to tell you: that’s a lie.

As the founder of the lifestyle website and CEO of her own media company, Rachel Hollis developed an immense online community by sharing tips for better living while fearlessly revealing the messiness of her own life. Now, in this challenging and inspiring new book, Rachel exposes the twenty lies and misconceptions that too often hold us back from living joyfully and productively, lies we’ve told ourselves so often we don’t even hear them anymore.

With painful honesty and fearless humor, Rachel unpacks and examines the falsehoods that once left her feeling overwhelmed and unworthy, and reveals the specific practical strategies that helped her move past them. In the process, she encourages, entertains, and even kicks a little butt, all to convince you to do whatever it takes to get real and become the joyous, confident woman you were meant to be.

With unflinching faith and rock-hard tenacity, Girl, Wash Your Face shows you how to live with passion and hustle--and how to give yourself grace without giving up.

  • So Good & Encouraging

Such an uplifting and inspirational book. I think if someone is literally just surviving right now and in need of motivation and women empowerment to get yourself up and started on your dream, this is your book! Great job Rachel!
  • Overrated

She basically says the same thing over and over. “Everything happens for a reason” and “Talk to a therapist to get help”. The majority of the book is the story of her life and how she coped with her specific struggles (most of which were not relatable to me personally. I was pretty bored.
  • Girl, Have Empathy.

I have to say,the book was great. But -1 ⭐️. Not everybody has the exact same problems as you. I can see that you wrote this for the people that DO have the same problems as you. But write more books about different problems. Not your own.
  • Increíble!!!

Great book to read, love that she's a believer! Blessings
  • Terrible!

So unrealistic and truly unrelatable. I do not get all the hype surrounding this awful book. Other reviews say it’s condescending and I agree!
  • Worst advice ever

    By Myguyfrisc
Never break a promise to yourself. Ok fine, but what if you’re living in poverty as a single mom and your promise was to never let your kids down but you feel that you do it day in and day out because of circumstances beyond your control. Maybe it works for her when she’s so bold as to hit her treadmill after too many martinis at midnight because she’ll never break a promise to herself, but this type of thing would never work IRL for people who are actually struggling and not just struggling to lose 2lbs of water weight.
  • Dangerous message

  • True words

Amazing words of motivation. She’s like your best friend telling you all the things you need to hear but don’t want to hear... it’s a kick in butt to get over your self pity.
